Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an entry and completing payment for the Sharankrishna Short Film Awards ("Festival"), you ("Participant") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not submit an entry.
Eligibility
The Festival is open to filmmakers of all nationalities. Films submitted must be short films with a maximum runtime as specified in the submission guidelines. Participants must be at least 18 years of age, or have consent of a parent or guardian if under 18.
Entry Fee
A non-refundable entry fee of ₹1,000 (Indian Rupees One Thousand) is required per film submission. Payment must be completed via the online payment gateway. Entry is confirmed only after successful payment verification by our server.
Ownership and Rights
By submitting, you confirm that you are the owner of, or have all necessary rights and licences for, all content in the film including footage, music, dialogue, and any third-party material. You grant the Sharankrishna Short Film Awards a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to screen your film during Festival events, use clips and stills for Festival promotional materials, and include your film in Festival archives.
Selection and Decisions
Submission does not guarantee selection or screening. The Festival jury's and organisers' decisions on selection, shortlisting, and awards are final and binding. No correspondence regarding selection outcomes will be entered into.
Content Standards
Films must not contain content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party. The Festival reserves the right to disqualify entries that violate these standards without refund.
Limitation of Liability
The Festival organisers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Festival, technical failures, or any reliance on information provided on this website.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.
Changes to Terms
The Festival reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Continued participation after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the Festival Updates section.
